Craving salt is one key indication. Aldosterone is usually low due to "pregnenolone steal" and in late stage, pregnenolone is low, so there isn't much to steal.

That is why those with Adrenal fatigue are so dehydrated. Low aldosterone --> Low sodum -> poor fluid retention.
