Thanks very much for the information. This is the kind of response I'm looking for.

I was hoping to learn bits of information specifically related to how vitamin C affects Adrenal Fatigue, but this is the next best thing. I'm not a medical professional or an advanced student of biology, so it'll be difficult for me to put this information together into a sensible understanding of vitamin C's relation to Adrenal Fatigue, but if that's where I have to start from, I can do little but try.

And thanks for the gentle "How about Wikipedia?" suggestion.

So...

My guess is that your point about it being an enzymatic cofactor in many processes is one of the more relevant aspects of vitamin C for Adrenal Fatigue. The WP article's section on eight enzymatic reactions1 in which vitamin C is used seems to correlate to problems that Adrenal Fatigue sufferers experience.

Common symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue involve collagen loss, energy loss (carnitine is essential for energy production), and hormonal imbalance (in particular, the hormones related to the above enzymatic reactions).

The WP article also notes vitamin C's involvement in immune function and antihistamine effect, again matters related to AF.

Clearly, vitamin C is critically related to Adrenal Fatigue.

But how exactly? Why is it needed in greater amounts than usual?
