Yes, Gymnema has lived up its reputation and potential as a long term solution to diabetes. Research studies show that it impacts type 1 much more than type 2 but in both cases, the ingestion of the tea should continue for a minimum of 6 months for the effects to stabilize. It's best to continue drinking the tea for up to 2 years. You can buy the formulation - sachets containing 2 gm of Gymnema + 1 gm of green tea - prepackaged boxes of 90 sachets (one month's supply, at the rate of 3 teabags a day) from some vendors. Note that you can reuse the tea bags - second infusion, that is.
