the vast majority of votes a politician has is directly related with how much advertising and how much 'face' they show the public - in order to do that, they need money, money like they get from being 'greedy' and taking money from businesses with vested interests. as you can see, your tiny little ripple in the pond is not going to be heard since, whether he gets elected or not isn't decided by informed people who have complaints, it's made by the sheeple-mob who are influenced by the money-fed campaigns..

as you said, money and greed the problem (real problem though is human nature coupled with the current economic system, not like there is any guilt anywhere though as there is no free will (not been proven).
