Candida diet sucks and basically does not work. It can drive the candida deeper into your body in search for sustenance. I've had candida for basically all my life. I tried the diet, anti-fungals, etc ad nauseum and keeping it at a somewhat inactive level was the best I could ever do but it would flourish with a vengance once I cheated on the diet a bit. Now I eat what I want to (except for sugar) and just use the Candida Zapper when I get a flare-up. (The sad truth is that it is impossible to eradicate it once for all because it is in air and food and easily reinfects persons with low immunity. The health store people lie and say by taking hundreds of dollars worth a month of immune boosting supplements will restore the immune system. BS. People that lie like that are just as bad as doctors. Few people ever change their immunity other than not beating it down as much with toxins and bad diet. That's just the way it is.
