This doesn't make sense to me. The body only takes as much beta carotene as it needs, converts it to Vitamin A and excretes the rest. I could theoretically see Vitamin A supplements being a problem because the body absorbs most of the pure A in foods and supplements (assuming you eat it with a fatty meal).
But as far as I know, Vitamin A isn't converted to estrogen. COENZYME A is converted to estrogen and many other hormones in the body. But coenzyme A is completely different from Vitamin A. Perhaps your advice giver is a little mixed up.
If anything Vitmain A has been shown to INHIBIT estrogen.
