I just ordered a coconut water kefir kit...I think that adding fermented foods like Kefir, ACV, sauerkraut, as well as eating as clean as possible and incorporating lots of green veggie juicing will help re-establish proper gut flora and keep the bad guy under control. These work SO much better than taking a 10-strain probiotic. We have countless strains of bacteria/yeast in our bodies...fermented foods provide way more strains than any probiotic can. Plus, many have/are acetic acid, which is one of the same acids generated by the flora to control fungal Candida and other pathogens.
No more of this insane anti-candida diet and killing supplements. They don't work.
We naturally have "bad" bacteria/yeast in our guts. What keeps a happy homeostasis is to make sure that we have more good than bad.
Fermented foods help to keep the pH lower, thus preventing pathogens from going nuts.
fibers and certain carbs (inulin, rice bran, yucca root, veggie fiber, and if tolerated, almonds and low-GI fruits and non-gluten grains in moderation) are necessary in order to keep the good guy alive. If u cut those out, you won't be able to repopulate the good flora, thus the bad flora wins.
Anyone agree?
