Well actually the jolts ceased slowly; I now almost forget I had them.
If Magnesium deficiency is the reason why you have them it shouldnt take that long before you notice difference;
I believe it took such long time in my case because my digestion wasnt good, so I only tolerated 2-300 mg of magnesium daily, which wasnt enough obviously.
Now I can take 6-800 mg which is fit level for me. All in addition to a good diet of course.
How I know my levels are up to par? Well my eye-tics are gone (had it daily for many years) other cramping gone to.
Insomnia gone etc. One strange magnesium-deficiency symptom not gone completely, but much better is sound sensitivity.

Adrenal fatigue may be involved in both night jolts and sound sensitivity (adrenaline rush at the wrong time)
