The web site is correct, your right and I'm right and that is exactly why it's pseudo science. An elementary site like only gives you the information it wants just like any other site. You and I also make conclusion in our own minds based on the information we are presented with. The more sceptical you are the more chance you have to get to the truth. Doctors and other experts only give us only a few facts to prove their opinions.

The difference of opinion on the formation and transport of bile arises because bile is secreted by hepatocytes cells lining the biliary canaliculi, which drain into the biliary ductules and then into the bile ducts. For most general knowledge purposes this is a good enough definition but it isn't the whole story.

The biliary system has two states and resting or fasting state when you are a sleep which produces bile product for storage and active state when you eat. In this active state 25% of the secretions of bile in the liver are electrolytes consisting of bicarbonate but also other electrolytes. (This ignores the content of water.)

Secretin: This hormone is secreted in response to acid in the duodenum. Its effect on the biliary system is very similar to what was seen in the pancreas - it simulates biliary duct epithelial cells to secrete bicarbonate and water, which expands the volume of bile and increases its flow out into the intestine.

I notice that the explanation of the role of secretin on the website link you gave doesn't really mention this.

This is why the Liver Flush is so effective. The high acidity of the flush potion cause a tidal wave of water and bicarbonate to flow out in the bile duct that it cleanses the liver.

A lot of the medical problems we suffer from is cause by the bile becoming over alkalised with bicarbonate.

Here's a link to a couple a basic web sites that mention bicarbonate secretion.

The pancreas does secrete sodium bicarbonate but to neutralize chime and also enzymes that breakdown proteins, lipids carbohydrates and nucleic acids into smaller fragments. It also has other functions.

Best regards
