I am not posting this promote fat scales, but am posting this for Hanna's benefit.
Hanna you may want to consider getting one of these as they have really dropped down in price since coming out several years ago. Peoples' weights are determined by a combination of muscle, fat, bone density, and water, so if you use a regular scale you may not know what it is that you are losing. You could be losing lots of muscle which is a bad thing, you may be dropping lots of water weight, which is normal on any weight loss program, or you could lose bone density because your diet lacks calcium. The scale is not without its faults. The differing levels of hydration will give values that are sometimes inaccurate. Usually if you are dehydrated, the scale may falsely show a unsually high fat level. If you are overhydrated, it may falsely show really low readings. However, these readings are accurate within +4 -4% points and I still consider these fat measuring scales a lot more accurate than the ordinary weight scales.
This is the brand of fat scale that I use.
