Lets say the liver is so blocked up that the bile that IS released has to carry alot more toxic waste than normal (which is entirely possible) -- the bile would be acidic but it would never reach the intestines in this form.
Why? the pancreas will release ALOT of bicarbonate and this would mix with what came out of the stomach in the duodenum and this would balance the PH before it entered the intestines.
Therefore acidic bile is not the problem, the problem is that there isn't enough bile and the liver can't remove enough toxins. It's like 1tbsp of poison in 1 cup, v.s. 1 quart.
Also, the bile released would enter the blood stream (with toxins galore) to return back to the liver, too little bile with too much waste in it would effect the absorption process of the intestines I would imagine too.
