I know that's true because I lived it (as have many others on here). Supposedly a healthy person has several pounds worth of beneficial flora in their digestive tracts. Receiving Antibiotics through an IV must kill off that flora by the billions. That explains why, after receiving IV Antibiotics , I started catching colds constantly and also got food poisoning at least once a year.
