Chrisb, thank you for your detailed response. I know I have a "big plate" in front of me. I am currently on day three and feel surprisingly good! My main problem is lack of sleep, but I understand that can be pretty typical with fasting. I dont have strong urges to eat today (or yesterday) and the hunger pains are lessening, day one has been most difficult.
I am very happy with water only fasting in comparison to juice fasting. I have less hunger/desire to eat on water only I am noticing. I would prefer to keep a water only fast going vs juice.
I feel like the detox is most likely a lot greater on water only, and I am loving getting more 'bang for my buck'. I have had some health issues (nothing very serious) so I am hoping my fast helps work them out.
As far as the weight loss goes, if I lost 24 pounds (your lower estimate) that would be plenty! Should I expect to gain a little of that back with water weight and food in my system? I am planning on a much cleaner vegan lifestyle after my diet with out the processed crap.
I couldn't imagine I would lose more then 24 pounds of fat in 21 days on juice fasting (especially considering I am not very big to start with-I am muscular with solid bone structure and don't look "fat"- just out of my comfort zone). If weight loss is already so high on water only and I feel good- maybe I should just stick with water only??? Please let me know your honest opinion- you seem much much more experienced. If juice fasting will really give me an edge then I can do it. Thanks again!!!
