When my gallbladder acts up I get an ache in my collar bones, when I let it go it goes to the shoulders, back and around the stomach, after that it feels like the flu.
At the first sign of an ache I dissolve 1 tbs ES in warm water with some liquid stevia (about 1 dropper)for taste, that will usually cure it.
If I wait till the flu feelings I take a 2nd cup of ES and I am fine within 30 minutes.

Since most people self diagnose I would suggest get an ultrasound. They will send you to a surgeon, they did to me 9 years ago, but I never went back. Usually I make an appointment and then I call back and cancel, no need to get in an argument with a MD.
