What could have happened is that Iodine has temporarily triggered the hypo T = weight gain.

Blurred vision is more an adrenal fatigue symptom, not so much bromide as I see it. Iodine can, especially when taken without its companions worsen adrenal fatigue.
The adrenals need salt, vit c and b, I also used licorice root for a year.

Salt is vital in the protocol, as it both helps the adrenals and helps the bromide detox.
From my own experience, saltloading helped the palpitations I used to have when I was hypo T.

Please update after a couple of weeks on real salt; will be interresting to see what happens.
I prefer the himalayan salt, others use celtic or redmonds.
