Brainfog can be the most depressing and disturbing symptom of Lyme. The absolute best treatment for brainfog that I found is LDN (Low Dose Naltraxone). I have repeated this experiment several times with my wife and I going on and off LDN. In all cases, brainfog cleared up after 1-2 days.
