Apparently, red water is common in 2011.
This video is from someone's channel at youtube. I'll see if the only embed code available works.
This is the long link (if I understand properly)....

This is the HD link......(this is my first time embedding from a channel)...
With a preliminary search in my browser, I find absolutely NO information on these red water occurences except this article.....

...either I'm using the wrong search terms or this has been unreported or covered up. When a person has no previous experience of a red water flowing stream, they simply make up an explanation to satisfy their ignorance....
......................such as MILLIONS OF TONS OF SEDIMENT from mountain runoff, but COME ON!.....does that actually make sense to you and explain all the other occurences?...what!!!?......no mudslides or SINKHOLES?
Nothing like this seems to have occured before the 2010 fish and other animal die-offs.

September 14 EDIT.
.....This 57 year old city boy is learning so much about nature's oddities from youtube. This 1933 Betty Boop cartoon (colorized) showed GREEN PUMPKINS. I looked it up on wikipedia and they really do exist (I'm such a "city boy"). I always thought that Irish people soaked pumpkins in food dye to use them as a special Irish celebration (I'm such a "city boy").
I also learned that scarecrows actually are still used in some gardens and are even effective (I always thought they were either a superstitious luck charm or simply a traditional decoration (I'm such a "city boy", AND I'M LEARNING TO LAUGH AT MYSELF).
