I can say from personal experience that 1 ounce of castor oil did absolutely nothing for me. I took it as a laxative and got no BM. No idea if it had any other effect in my intestines. And I have rather delicate digestive system, can't use more than 3 ounces of oil for a flush or I will throw up before morning.
