Actually I feel better on 3 hours dosing with ALA. If I wait even 20 minutes I feel effects of mercury.
I tried for 2 months to chelate with 4 hours dosing but it was awful - very low concentration due to broken methylation, blurry vision appears, week body, pains everywhere...
When I switched to 3 hours and everything went back to normal.
After 10 months doing 3h chelation and 2 months on 4h, I'm great with less mercury in the system and not permanently injured. But these 2 months were very hard for me just because I thought that i can cope with 4h dosing.

Although I did not read the whole studies I think in those studies that the rats receive just one large intravenous dosage of ALA per day are performed only to prove effectiveness for its ability to remove mercury. They prove it and stop the study. Nothing more...

Do you think about the possibility that some people have the ability to produce more glutathione(or other natural mercury binders) than others. In this situation stopping ALA will not redistribute mercury because glutathion will grab it and prevent redistribution. And taking ALA after 5 or 6 hours won't be a problem for them.
It's easy on theory but the reality is that mercury inhibits a lot of reactions in the body and most people are low in GSH.

Other possibility can be if some people transport so fast the ALA-mercury bond to liver and/or excrete some via kidneys and thereby avoid redistribution.
It's crezy but we don't know lot of things as you say.

Regards
