Thanks for posting your coconut flush experience. I am a long time fan of coconut oil, which I snap up when it is available (I live in Mexico... you'd think it would be available but VCO is rare here). I have long wanted to try a coconut flush, and it sounds like you had a good experience.
I am currently using Hain cold processed walnut oil. Whereas I love OO (Olive-Oil) for cooking, I have not had good experiences with it in flushing due to the tendency to belch the flavor all night, exacerbating any nausea caused by the flush (my best flushes tend to be accompanied by nausea). I have done a few now with the walnut and notice virtually no difference in "flush quality", and there is no aftertaste/smell which I truly appreciate. I am using orange juice, for a pretty tasty mixture.
Last night my partner and I did a his-n-hers flush. It was the sort of flush I actually FELT... and was nauseated pretty much all night. I was sleeping so hard I never made it to actually throw up (which I have noticed relieves the nausea right away). This am I finally threw up the tiny bit of oil still in my stomach, then proceeded to evacuate BUNCHES of green bile, with black... what looked kind of like wild rice hulls. Possibly parasitess? I ended up passing I would guess well over a quart of this gunk, with a few green pea sized stones and some froth. I feel MUUUUCCCH better! I needed that!
Bueno, thanks again for your coco report, and for boldly going where few have gone before! Next time I get my paws on a jar I shall try my dream flush (VCO/fresh OJ)!
Best,
Somer
