Hot showers, by themselves, are generally not good for you. Not for those suffering from candida or for anyone else. I don't remember the exact details, but it has something to do with inducing low blood circulation. I had an ex-girlfriend who used to love taking long hot showers, and I always remember how pale, unhealthy and sallowed she looked after them.

On the other hand, hot showers CAN be good for you if you finish every one up with a cold shower. When I say cold, I prefer ice cold, but cool will probably suffice. Cold showers work wonders for blood circulation, which appears to be a problem for you (hence the cold extremities, which I also had). The irony of your post is that your love of hot weather and warmth may actually be what is causing you to be cold all the time. Start facing that cold water every morning and not only will you feel great, but you'll be far warmer all day than you are now with your invigorated blood circulation.

What got me started was an article on CNN about a guy who was still physically active well past 100 years old and who wrote for his town's newspaper. They asked him for one piece of advice to give others who wished to stay vibrant for as long as he did. His answer: at the end of your daily shower, turn off the hot water and turn the cold water to full blast and count to 100. He said he had been doing that since his 20s, and that it had made all the difference. Skeptics will blow it off, but it has absolutely had a positive effect on me in the past two years.
