Thank you for your response, it makes sense that it's the toxins.

I realize that tasting the food is conterproductive, but right now cooking for my family is more important than my fast. I hadn't even tasted any when the recent swelling began. I only do it when I am trying something new.

I've had this swelling issue for years, even when my diet was clean, so I do hope that the fast will take care of the problem.
