Oh, that was compassionate.

May someone say, "Shut up and get on with your life" the next time you dare to speak of something that has caused you lasting pain.

And don't tell us nothing has. If that's true, you have been extraordinarily lucky, and should know that hardly anyone else alive shares your good fortune, so you ought not to instruct others on the topic. Your luck is irrelevant to their life.

Hush, and speak to what you do know about. Your own life. Which is no one else's.
