if you are taking Lugol's or Iodoral you want to take it away from food. Like an hour before if you can.

the Iodine can be reduced to potassium Iodide easily
so definitely keep it away from vitamin C

if you are taking SSKI doesn't matter when you take it

I put my 50mg of Lugol's in about 8 oz of water or so
some don't like taste and put it in gelcap and swallow with water
