Yes I believe this is the essence why Iodine & co works; it kickstart the endocrine system. Thats why it is important to do the companions as it supports not only the thyroid, but also the adrenals and the pineal-pituitary gland. Fluoride more than anything disrupt the latter.

Maybe one of our problems is that we doesnt eat the whole animal, with glandulars and all; mostly muscle meat are consumed these days, while a predator would have these as its last choice.
