She stressed that Lipase/Amylase/Protease must be present, which is the backbone of all plant based digestive enzyme formulas, so it appears to me that the cellulase is not integral to her treatment. The cyst wall of Giardia looks to be mostly carbohdyrate and protein.
I didn't see where she had recommended that particular brand, just that it contain strictly enzymes, and no probiotics, bile or HCL etc. If you have a Whole Foods in your area, they have an excellent "house" brand of plant enzymes that would be perfect for this use.
I would say that you would have to up the dosage of her protocol per body weight.
The protease did seem very low, considering bromelain is typically in the thousands of GDU's.
That amount of cellulase is typical for digestive enzymes. It's usually a very small amount.
Yes, the amounts of Cellulase in Candex are huge, thousands of times more than in typical digestive formulas.
If it were me, I would go out and get a simple digestive enzyme with plenty of papain and bromelain, protease, lipase and amylase, not worry about any of the other -ases in it, but just make sure there's nothing but -ases in it.
Then take a separate cellulase product to get the necessary potency for the yeast. Either of the ones you mention should work fine. I used Candex with good success.
Then add the SF722 or other Undecylenic Acid containing product to hit yeast from another angle.
I'm not sure you would need serrapeptase or oregano oil at this point, but could certainly add them down the road based on how this goes.
The serrapeptase is definitely attacking the outer membrane proteins on the yeast. I don't know if that's enough to explain the effect on biofilm though. I haven't seen a great explanation of that. It's good stuff though.
