What we have found from observations over 12 years, and from some new research, is that Earthing affects thyroid function. We believe that it improves thyroid function, but don't know the precise mechanism for that yet. Quite a few people who are HYPOthyroid and take medication, have developed signs of HYPERthyroid...in other words, excess medication...after they start Earthing. Many people, working with their doctors, have been able to reduce their medication dosage. The impacts and benefits of Earthing on the body are systemic...and that includes the thyroid. So we tell people who are on thyroid medication is be alert to symptoms of excess medication..such as palpitations. Cheers
