Hello,
Been a while since I've posted.
I've been diagnosed with fructose malabsorption and SIBO. The bacteria I have overgrowths of are:
Streptococcus
Staphlycoccus
Prevotella
Porphyromonas
Eubacterium
Been on neomycin and clarithromycin for 8 weeks now, and I had improvements for about 3 weeks, then a plateau, now deteirorating again.
Also my candida has come back *again*, so on nystatin again.
Looking at possibly hitting my doctor up to prescribe rifaximin.
Anyone else battling a H2S producing SIBO???
Any suggestions??
BTW, don't rely on metametrix gi effects for diagnosing bacterial dysbiosis. It's utterly useless. I had multiple of these done over last 2 years and never picked up my biggest problem. Also my gastro neglected to test for fructose malabsorption 1.5 years ago. I ended up using bioscreen for stool analysis (same test the use at redlabs in belgium).
Metametrix gi effects sucks for anything but parasites.
