Hey Sharpshooter, any news from your Dr.? I don't do well with lactose either.

I am almost a month in and doing well on the diet. My IBS symptoms are going away, I sleep more soundly, wake up feeling refreshed, and I think I may be starting to smell what everyone complains about around me. I think that is a sign that my FBO is at least going down a bit. I smell someting very stale & musty in my house and on my clothes in the hamper. I still don't smell FBO though. Once I wash clothes with a cup of baking soda in each load, the smell is gone for good.

When I slip up on the FODMAPS diet, I can smell an odor to my sweat, I wake up with stuffed sinuses, and I can't smell the house anymore. Think it is my answer. SIBO from FODMAPS food sources. Easiest diet I have been on so far as I was already avoiding most things on the list. Good luck everyone. I will update.
