iodoquinol is Diiodohydroxyquinoline, trade name Diodoquin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diiodohydroxyquinoline
I was reading somewhere (I dont remebember where now) that iodoquinol has been quite neuro toxic if long term use at high dosage, long term is considered longer than 4 weeks I think. Many of these anti-protzal drugs are basically only ment for short courses up to 14 days.
It is from what I read mostly used in combination with Secnidazole to take out Dientamoeba fragilis.
Also the badbug cite mention this combination for D. fragiles I think
But I think the Australian triple teraphy also should take out D. fragiles, at least when adding doxyciline to it.
