I have read that it is the large amount of HCl produced when a person eats that triggers the iliac valve to release the small intestinal contents into the bowel and lead to the urge to have a bowel movement within an hour after eating. It's possible that you have developed congestion of the small intestine and I've found that this makes LFs more difficult to do. It often takes me two days to clear out the partly digested food from the upper intestine and have a successful LF.
