Jolie-Pitt my bad breath is that same odor.  Like piles of dirty socks or shoes. 

Have you been taking the B supplement up til now? Before you stopped eating?

If so the lactose and whatever the other thing you mentioned probably doesn't matter.  I would try eating something, waiting a couple hours and see what happens.
