I so feel your pain and sometimes (alot more than sometimes lately) i feel the same way. It sucks really bad. Have you gotten a good thorough thyroid panel done. THe NTH yahoo adrenals group has given me hope in this area because both adrenals and thyroid are in charge of metabolism. So I can't wait for the day that these two are healthy and well supported. I am still not on the proper meds for my thyroid but I know once my thyroid and adrenals are in good shape that losing weight will not be a problem. My weight is actually ok, it's just my shape i'm unhappy with, it's not what it use to be. I've lost some muscle mass due to the AF and that for a male is not good and simply doesn't feel right. I sympathize with the ladies who are in the AF train and want to lose weight. It's hard enough being a healthy woman, i can't imagine having to tackle AF. I hope you feel better. And don't be ashamed about venting, sometimes we all gotta do it.

my dr has checked my thyroid several times and it has always been normal.
