While I agree with you that stuff is happening on a much deeper level than we are aware (and I am familiar with all the authors you listed and even have some of their books), while we are waiting for "whatever" to happen, we still need to exist on a daily basis and trust me, none of us wants to suffer while we are waiting for whatever grand event to transpire. This is not living, it's merely existing. And whether I have 10 years or 50 left on this rock, I would like to be able to enjoy at least some of it, be able to eat something other than cardboard and water and not have to endure so much suffering. I am after all a spiritual being having a human experience, but that experience is in fact human nonetheless, and deals with real life, everyday human issues.
