Thanks Wombat.

I already eat extremely clean, almost everything organic, lots of fruits and veggies, small amounts of animal protein (we get organic raw milk and natural eggs from a friend who has a local farm/animal sanctuary). I don't eat any Sugar at all, and minimal carbs (just a lot of organic brown rice mostly). Almost zero alcohol (1/2 a glass of wine every other month or so), and no drugs or meds of any kind. That's one aspect of this that is really upsetting, no matter what I do "right," I am always plagued with this sensitivity and irritation in the whole urinary tract system. I guess its just all those years of bad living with courses of Antibiotics every few months, that did me in. LOL. Well maybe I can still turn it around yet.

I wasted my time today at a local acupuncture clinic. They had a student do a whole intake on me, only for the supervisor to come in and tell me that they couldn't work on my real issue (UTI/Kidneys) for liability reasons and that kidney issues usually just need Antibiotics and I should go to my regular doctor to get checked out, then come back to them later for more mild problems like fatigue. I'm surprised she didn't hand me a scrip for Cipro herself! I was almost laughing it was so ridiculous. The student then did some basic acupuncture that was kind of lame (my step-dad does a better job with the needles and he's not a professional acupuncturist). Anyways, it was just one more dead end. But I've come to feel that help is hard to find out there, and I am getting much more solid advice here on CZ!

In fact, with the things I've been doing, I feel sooooo much better it's amazing! I have an appt with a regular allopathic doc on Monday, just to get a urinalysis done. After what you said the other day about the home test kit, etc, I realized that we don't even know for sure that I have a kidney infection! So I'm going in to see just what is in my pee...leukocytes? protein? blood? I'd like to know. And if there is an infection there, hopefully I can get the doc to write a scrip for amoxicillin or another Antibiotic other than Cipro. Not that I am necessarily going to take the drug, but at least if I have the scrip then I have that option.

Well, for now I am just going to continue with the oregano oil, olive leaf, kidney herb blend, raw garlic, watermelon, probiotics, and castor oil/oregano oil packs. Something is really working!

Thanks so much for your support. You have been like a lifeline to me!
