Hello Spud,

I agree that Jim Humble is off in his chemistry ideas and safety ideas, and the 75000 malaria cures only seem to be verified in Jim Humbles book, but there are a couple of others.

Dr. Humiston had an open mind, tried sodium chlorite, and found that, in some cases, it helps with the illnesses he is dealing with. He is developing his own protocols paying close attention to the possible oxidative stress and other side effects. While he hasn't done any clinical trials, he knows enough about the body to realize when it may have a place.

Dr. Hesselink is featured in Jim Humbles original books, but I think he has been removed from the latest book. Jim Humble doesn't get along with Dr. Hesselink because Dr. Hesselink points out the limitations of oxidation, the safety concerns, and the incompatibilities involved with sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide treatments. He also brings forth the novel idea of adjusting dose by body mass.

Dr. Hesselink is currently conducting trials looking at Jim Humbles claims on malaria. While definitely not a "cure all for everything," he has mentioned that the results so far "look promising." It will be interesting to see if this every gets published, and what the results indicate.

When we move from humans to animals, there are a lot of animal owners and Vet's that are very impressed with the properties of sodium chlorite. Unfortunately, these reports are anecdotal rather than formal, but many are verifiable. Animal owners love to share their stories of how they were able to overcome illness in their pets.

When it comes to heart worms, I think Guinness is preferred to over sodium chlorite, but there is talk about adding a little sodium chlorite to drinking water in an effort to deal with this problem. Most of the pet applications are topical, but I have to believe that eliminating a break out of kennel cough in a shelter has to have some implications on humans.

The fact that other oxidizers such as ozone and hydrogen peroxide have been studied and in some cases have good results indicates that additional oxidation has a place within the body. Sodium chlorite is an oxidizer and perhaps under controlled conditions it can be beneficial.

Education is important. It is one thing to say that the body is full of chlorine. It is quite another to point out that most of that chlorine is bound up in salt. I have verifiable proof that life is toxic and everyone dies. However, through education I am learning how to take care of myself and live my life in balance to improve my quality of life. I have verifiable proof that the body runs on oxidation, but there are times when things get out of balance and the body becomes ill. Since the body utilizes oxidation to control pathogens, perhaps adding additional oxidation can help the body recover.

Tom
