Hello Spud,
Yes, the "one size fits all" approach is wrong.
As far as mouthwash goes, salt water makes a good rinse, but sodium chlorite does a much better job of removing biofilm and plaque.
The problem with sodium chlorite is that it costs more than other commercial ingredients and you have to have some knowledge to use it properly. This requires education. The average person may be better off with a "no brainer" like salt water, and when they encounter infection in their mouth they can go to the dentist for the sodium chlorite solution application.
Jim Humble lost any credibility he had when he changed his focus to building his church and added chlorine to his mix of chemicals. Perhaps it is better to throw the baby and the bathwater out and start over.
All of the invitations to share test data have fallen on deaf ears and it looks like he has thrown Science out as well, unless he can twist it to fit his church agenda. Sodium chlorite is an excellent chemical and is one of the safe chemicals to use. It hasn't been studied for internal use because there are other chemicals that usually do a better job of oxidizing that are in the medicine class. The system is not perfect, but at least some human studies have been done with medicines and they are used under the supervision of a medical professional.
Let's see, we had Vitamin O in 2000, Miracle-Mineral-Supplement in 2010, perhaps in 2020 someone will bring it up again and actually do some testing with it.
