NO CIPRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"but I guess that you already know that*

I'm proud of you for trying to puke up that pill:) Good girl! (I read your other posts)

Untreated kidney infections can be very serious and life-threatening, you know that, yes? I am not against using Antibiotics when the specter of death or life-long illness looms if they are not used. But why cipro????

My concern with using high doses of Iodine in order to clear up a kidney infection is that the undesirable halogens that high doses of Iodine displace, such as bromide and fluoride, exit renally. That is, through the kidneys.
We want our kidneys to be in good working order when we supplement iodine.

So I vote no on that. The only way that I would do it is to elevate very slowly.

I agree with the other posters here on the use of oregano oil, herbs, etc. I would also make it a habit to squeeze some fresh lemon in your drinking water.

And get a second opinion. Or talk to your doctor again and discuss WHY cipro. It may very well be that (s)he is prescribing that for reasons that may NOT have anything to do with your health or long-term quality of life. The Dr. may be prescribing that because (s)he could very well setting himself up for a malpractice suit if he does not prescribe that- as in ...perhaps cipro is the stuff that WORKS- if you live through it. If he were to prescribe something weaker that did not work... and you ended up on dialysis or dead,
bingo! malpractice suit.

You are the best judge of your current state of health. If you feel that you have the time to self-treat, then by all means do so. Just know though that a kidney infection is serious, and western medicine does very well at intervention.
