When chatting with someone that was following this trial, the FDA originally had much stiffer fines and consequences in mind. It was the results of their studies that reduced the fine to something more manageable.

Of course their tests never saw the light of day, until they self published, but the medical people following the case took note.

There are a few other "tidbits" involved with Vitamin O, but I am not sure I am "allowed" to share them.

There is also supposed to be a connection between the John Hopkins intern that blew the whistle on Vitamin O and the development of WF-10, but that is a much more difficult path to follow up on.

I believe Vitamin O was re-formulated after the trial. Looking at Dr. Koch's efforts, they are now producing what we now call mixed oxidants. MIOX systems are available in small units for wilderness water purification, all the way up to units large enough to purify the water for a city. Dilutions of the MIOX brew are used in battle field disinfection, including wound and burn care.

Oops, now I am getting ahead of myself... We were still discussing how oxidation can improve blood oxygen levels.
