Hi,

This evening I have received the reality check, courtesy of my husband an daughter.

I was given the first and the last ultimatum: If I am not in a superior shape on Monday, June 20, the day of our departure for a 40 day canoe trip, I will stay at home and may fast as long as I desire.

I looked at them; Their faces were deadly serious. Without a second thought, I galloped to the kitchen to have my first drink of water.

My dry fast is officially over. I have just started my re - feeding period.

I am in love with nature; I adore canoeing, listening to the sound of wind and ripples of water. I simply worship cries of loonies at night.

I must again become as strong as a horse to be able to paddle all day long.
