Yes, I believe the new ephitelial cells get infected even with the high turnover rate. The old cell infects the new one when the last is dying. We must keep a powerful fungicidal antifungal circulating in blood during the cell turnover to avoid the new one become infected. It is similar to a nail fungal infection, IMO. You must keep the antifungal until the last infected cell has died. I am not sure of it but is what I can realize after my research and reading. You are right. It is an scary thought that has been around my mind for long time. I spoke about that with Dr. Crandall by phone and she agrees medicine needs fungicidal effective drugs urgently. May be a drug combination between effective antifungals and other synergistic kind of drugs, do the trick. I don't know Tony but trust me, this is a serious problem.
