First of all, try not to feel desperate or impatient. That only serves to compound the stress. It's helpful if you readjust your expectations and prepare yourself for a potentially drawn out process of discovery and healing with many forks in the road. Even if you find the perfect Doctor/Provider, this syndrome is a challenge for the best of them, and you will do well to dig in and study a bit.

While it may seem to you now that the possible causes are infinite, there tends to be a core set of problems associated with Candida, some of which are causes, some are symptoms, and sometimes the lines become blurred and it's difficult to draw clear lines between causes and effects. Yet they all need to be addressed in order to recover.

Some of those potential causes/associations are:

1. Adrenal Fatigue
2. Hypothyroid
3. Stress/Breathing
4. Diet/Lifestyle/Smoking/Recreational Drugs/Overeating
5. Hormonal Imbalances
6. Antibiotics /Immune suppressants
7. Damage to the intestinal lining/mucosa
8. Diverticular disease
9. Low Gastric Acid
10. Pancreatic Insufficiency
13. Problems with Liver/Bile
14. Malabsorption Syndromes, especially Protein/Fat
15. Impacted material in the Colon
16. Immune system abnormalities.
17. Heavy Metal Toxicity

And that list is not complete by any means.

I suggest that you post the area where you live if you'd like a local recommendation. Also, try searching the forum as there have been a number of recommendations for specific practicioners, as well as web rescources that can help you find someone in your area.

It's also wise to do a little research before committing to a practitioner.

T.
