Yes, that's the downside of the gift of mercy but we need merciful people. You are right but it's not my personality or
my desire to be that hard. I would be an awfully lonely person if I eliminated all the people who wronged me. Grace is best learned through the experience of receiving it. I just have to deal with the toxic people the best I can and try to leave myself as intact as possible. If the toxic people were not people that I care about I could walk away easily but these people are worth it to me to try to work it out. My best friend is starting to come around. I've only recently become serious about stopping stress in my life and trying to deal with those people. I haven't been diagnosed with AF all that long and didn't realize the importance of eliminating stress to the degree of having to deal with these
relationships so as to to correct the interactions between them and me. You may have had people who really needed you to be harsh with them, I'm not saying that it wasn't right for you. I just feel my situations have not been the case.
I enjoyed your input.
