I have had several successful flushes with a 1/2 cup and have gradually added a little more each flush so that last flush I was up to about 3/4 cup. A word of warning; It is much easier to keep down half a cup so if this is your first flush you might start with that. I've heard it varies from person to person but a half cup is not an insignificant amount of olive oil.
