I agree with jboy & FQsurvivor :)
It sounds to me like you likely scraped or poked a bit too harshly and have a small abrasion/tear (this is especially likely if you have internal hemorrhoids)...this is VERY common and not a reason for alarm. It happens after enemas and after straining bms for many people that have even small amounts of internal/external inflammation.
Blood in the stool can seem like a lot when it's barely none at all (think of what one tiny drop of red food coloring would look like in the toilet-water...let alone 3-4 drops). Also there are certain areas in/on our body that bleed quite a bit when the damage is extremely minimal (like on our head/face, around the rectum/anus and a few inches upward.
Since cayenne didn't have any effect, that seems (again) likely to be a small abrasion/tear on the very surface. If you were hemorrhaging or bleeding profusely/seriously, cayenne always lessens the blood flow (assuming we take enough and it's hot enough).
Of course, if you sense that you're in danger, then do what you have to do (as far as going to the ER, whatever). But from what you're reporting, I wouldn't do that. In fact, my life would have to be SERIOUSLY threatened and I would have had to try everything in my arsenal before I'd ever avail myself to the 1st leading cause of death in the US! //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1413289#i
