I am currently on Iodine & its supporting supplements and have been for 1.5 years. It is possible/advisable to get silver fillings removed & replaced while breastfeeding? If so, how would I go about it safely?

1. Increase Iodine intake during this time to increase mercury removal time?
2. How long does the mercury stay in your system after filling removal? Should I breast pump and store up milk for a week or two or more?
3. At what age of baby should I do this - 6 months, older?

I am only thinking of doing this for insurance reasons as I may not go back to work when my 1 yr. mat leave ends and would like to get any work done before my mat leave is over and while my dental insurance covers this.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
