>>"Hi Grz, thanks for explaining. I'm not questioning your decisions as Moderator but trying to show you another point of view (it's a debate forum after all)."<<

I welcome that, thank you.

>>"Reading your post, it struck me that it's very different from your usual style. It almost seems sanctimonious and one-sided, IMO, and I was surprised to see such a detailed analysis posted in so little time. It made me think "don't you have an 8-hour a day job?""<<

Perhaps it did seem a bit one-sided... I view Hv as the initiator of the turmoil due to his posting style - the drawing of *first blood* - the provocateur, and have stated as much.

One person disagrees with Hv... and he seems to take the gloves off. This is NOT the behavior of a professional. He has a forum, sells products, and needs to be more *accountable* for his actions than the average poster - he has a greater responsibility that comes with *rank*.

Other forum owners behave, and stay inside their own forums for a reason. Perhaps Hv should do the same. He can post all of the rebuttals to whatever he wants to, and behave as he wishes there.

If Hv cleans up his postings, and shows a certain amount of respect for others, whether they show him that respect or not, *eliminating* his *digs* and name calling, all will be well. If he cannot do that, he will continue to be banned from other forums as well, I can assure you.

I do not go to work on weekends.

>>"Also - have you noticed that 7 out of 11 posts in this thread have been alerted? Does someone around here have any itchy alert-finger? It seems odd!"<<

I am not sure about the *ratio*, however, yes... every time someone clicks on an alert, the moderator(s) get a PM. I think that should be a very good illustration to both sides of this issue of how unbiased I am - not acting on them.

>>"It makes me wonder - is someone bad-alerting all Hv's and Grassman's posts and leaving the posters they agree with alone?"<<

No, both sides of the issue receive both *good* and *bad* alerts.

>>"Every one of Spud's posts in this thread so far, has been alerted. Let me guess - bad-alerts from someone who disagrees with her?"<<

And good alerts from those who agree.

>>"And it's happening fast. When I started this post, there were 6 alerts on this thread and now there are 7. And I'd guess that Wombat's post got a good-alert from a Moreless supporter?"<<

Regardless of whether it was a good or bad alert, I will not be rating, editing or deleting a post, or any other posts that can discuss both sides of ANY issue with a modicum of decorum.

I believe that *A LOT* of people misinterpret my stance on this issue so I will clarify a few things...

I understand the alkaline/acid *BALANCING* principles as just that. it IS the reaction of *acids* and *alkaline* substances against each other from any source that produce a *form* of energy, that then drives metabolic reactions in the formation of various substances. IMO, only how you choose to describe it, is a matter of debate; not that it occurs or not.

There is not ONE person here that would argue against our need for:

Fatty *acids*
Amino *acids*
Carbohydrate *acids*
and any number of vitamin *acids*

the point is... in and of themselves, they are not much good without catalysts. Most people would find that enzymes are catalysts with a cursory search... true enough. However, what most people do not see, or read about is that *minerals* are components of enzymes.

Look up the action of magnesium and how many *known* metabolic processes it is a part of. You can do this with most any mineral, whether its tendency is towards an acid or a base.

Minerals are also components of proteins, etc.

Certain herbs, work on certain *ails* due to that particular plants ability to concentrate certain minerals, among other things.

Astragalus concentrates selenium, zinc, and iron among others... food crops do the same, for instance apples and bananas concentrate boron among other things... etc.

I am an advocate of clean, nutrient dense, mineral rich diets... and a practitioner of the the *alkaline - acid* balancing principles.

I have stated all of this before.

if people misinterpret my *practice* as being *alkaline centric*, they are wrong. I focus on the nutrient value of *minerals* as a whole, whether they may have an acidic, or alkaline tendency.

My personal view is that modern farming practices, along with the overuse, and abuse of farm land, has greatly, and profoundly reduced the mineral nutrition in our foods over the years. And that the use of *cides* on and in the foods, along with pharmaceuticals used in animals has greatly reduced their availability to us even further, by binding them in such a way that they are unavailable to us - or in their being used up in order to keep the animal or plant alive through the direct poisoning.

Long ago they found that they had to *supplement* animals in the industry with over 45 different *minerals* in order to help prevent diseases in them...

What does that tell you?

These days, diseases are starting to rear their ugly heads... in spite of this mineral supplementation... what does that tell you about the mineral poor, GM, cide laden foods that they are feeding them with?

Have a great day Mira... I am off to work.
