I would say do whatever feels right.

But if you are taking this drink every morning (which is the best way, because this is when the liver is mos active), then you don't have to worry about what you eat the day before. I would just recommend that you don't eat or drink anything for about 3 hours afterwards, in order to give the drink a chance to squeeze out the dirt from your liver really well.
