Hv, seems beets are getting a bad mark (what am I missing???)…for example… look to compare: 1cup of raw beets (iron-6%) ; 1cup of CA raw Avocados (iron 8%), a major bench mark of raw foods by some; 1 baked potato with skin (iron 18%).

My post -about beets- was more directed at the unbelievable uptake of oxygen from eating beets. Now, as I research…the numbers ***around iron percentages *** aren’t ‘figuring’ as I anticipated with our foods or foods I select to eat.

And.. I guess we should…also… talk-add… investigate around iron… *IP6, phytic acid, or phytate*** as the subject has been talked-discussed in this forum and around CZland for many years.

the stuffssssss of life, thanks!!! for your very open-upped ‘stir‘ of effects, (for ~me~ it seems the more I open up the less capable ’I’ really know about CREATION FROM A CREATOR‘S EYES……my muddy water stir then can’t see the bottom…NEED BIG TIME HELP…but I‘m a simpleton at this medicine‘s truth deal… death, in this little flesh body, seems a factor within the overall…but we do the best we can to improve, advance into a good health, sanctuary of life …:o), lucidhunt
==============================

Inositol hexaphosphate ( IP-6, phytic acid, or phytate ), is a naturally polyphosphorylated carbohydrate found in cereal grains, beans, brown rice, corn, sesame seeds, wheat bran, and other high fiber foods. It aids in the metabolism of insulin and calcium, hair growth, bone marrow cell metabolism, eye membrane development, and helps the liver transfer fat to other parts of the body. IP-6 in the diet may even help reduce the risk for kidney stones. Many researchers believe that some of the health benefits may be due to the antioxidant, immune enhancing, and cardiovascular supporting activities of IP-6. In-vitro and animal research has shown IP-6 to have significant protective and growth regulating effects on various cells and tissues including those of the colon, breast, and prostate.

Rice bran extract (IP6)
Nature's most effective iron-chelating molecule is inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), found naturally in seeds and bran. IP6 is a selective agent against cancer cells. Because cancer cells are high in iron content, IP6 directs most of its attention to abnormal cells. IP6 selectively removes iron from tumors cells, which deprives them of their primary growth factor. IP6 does not remove iron from red blood cells which are tightly bound to hemoglobin. Unlike cancer drugs, healthy cells are not affected with IP6, so IP6 has very low toxicity. NUTRIENT BALANCE

63 Completeness Score

NUTRIENT BALANCE INDICATOR™ This symbol offers a visual representation of a food's nutritional strengths and weaknesses, with each spoke representing a different nutrient. The spoke for dietary fiber is colored green, protein is blue, vitamins are purple, minerals are white, and yellow represents a group of commonly overconsumed nutrients: saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium.

A Completeness Score between 0 and 100 is a relative indication of how complete the food is with respect to these nutrients. Although few (if any) individual foods provide all the essential nutrients, the Nutrient Balance Indicator and Completeness Score can help you construct meals that are nutritionally balanced and complete.

PROTEIN QUALITY

71 Amino Acid Score

PROTEIN QUALITY Protein quality is dependent on having all the essential amino acids in the proper proportions. If one or more amino acid is not present in sufficient amounts, the protein in your diet is considered incomplete.

Each spoke on the Protein Quality graph represents one of the nine essential amino acids, and the graph shows how close the protein in your diet is to the optimal distribution of amino acids recommended by the Institute of Medicine's Food and Nutrition Board.

An Amino Acid Score of 100 or higher indicates a complete or high-quality protein. If the Amino Acid Score is less than 100, a link is provided to complementary sources of protein. By combining complementary proteins, you may be able to increase the overall quality of the protein you consume.

Adding other foods with complementary amino acid profiles to this food may yield a more complete protein source and improve the quality of some types of restrictive diets.
