Don't trust the standard heavy metals tests. They are known for giving false negatives. I would suggest you find out more and consider it as a possibility, especially if you've ever had silver fillings (but there are other sources to consider).

Have you tried wearing a surgical mask in your apartment? See if that helps you feel better.

The bad feeling you had when you used the coconut oil was likely yeast die-off. Typical symptoms would include having to go to the bathroom more, a headache and a general worsening of your "typical" symptoms. Because the oil is an effective yeast killer, it causes a strong, bad feeling while the yeast is dying. It's too strong for some, but there are other yeast killers out there.

It's important to note that any yeast killer won't be effective unless it's combined with an anti-yeast diet.

It's also important to note that an anti-yeast program wouldn't provide a permanent solution to your health troubles if there's an underlying cause like heavy metals. You would likely need to get rid of the metals before you can get rid of the yeast problem.
